myrouter.local is the address that is used for the configure and login for the Linksys. just like all other routers available in the market, Linksys routers also be configured using the local address myrouter.local address.



This is a dual-band router that provides blazing high-speed internet access. This router is much fast than the N routers. The design of the Linksys E8400 is same as its predecessor Linksys EA7500. The front of the router is having the LED lights to check the status. It comes in black colour. Four adjustable and removable antennas come with the router to extend the speed of the router. Two antennas are on the back side of the router and other two are on each side. It can provide you a speed of 600 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band and a speed of 1733 Mbps on the 5 GHz band. Web-based management console

It uses the same old web interface for the setup and configuration. The latest smart wifi feature is missing in this router. This router also not provides you with a mobile app. So, you cannot manage the router through the mobile application. The web console opens the setup or admin page where you can alter various settings of the router. Internet settings include IP address, subnet mask, and DHCP server. Basic settings include channel width, SSID broadcast, and network name. You can disable or enable beamforming, create a guest network, configure wireless security etc. There is a separate storage page that tells us attached storage devices, their capacities, and free space. You can set the parental control by going to the access policy page.myrouter.local



Myrouter.local is a default address to access linksys router login page , in order to access linksys router login page , type myrouter.local in address bar of your browser , a login screen will appear ,use username as admin and default password as password ( Note : Both username and password are case sensitive ) .   • Removable external antennas: Four of the antennas must be connected before turning on the router. These antennas are removable and adjustable. Place them in the upward direction to get the maximum benefit.myrouter.local
  • USB 3.0 port: You can connect a USB printer or USB storage device to this port of the router. The devices and the printer are shared by everyone connected to the network.myrouter.local
  • Combo USB 2.0: This port is also used for the USB drive and USB printer on your network and then devices will be shared by everyone connected to the network.
  • Ethernet ports: These ports are used to make a wired connection with other devices.myrouter.local
  • Internet port: A modem gets connected to this port using an Ethernet cable.myrouter.local
  • Wi-Fi button: Turn on/off your device by using this button.
  • WPS button: WPS stands for Wi-Fi Protected Setup. This button is used to setup the router with just one push button. This is considered the easiest setup method.myrouter.local
  • Reset button: Hold and press this button for around 10 seconds and then release. This will replace all your settings to factory default.myrouter.local
  • Power port: The AC adapter should be connected to this port.myrouter.local

    If you have purchased a Linksys E8400 router then the next step is to install the same. We have explained all the ports above. Read carefully to understand and then begin the setup process. Follow the steps given below to set it up.

  • 1.Take out the four antennas from the unpacked box and then connect them to the router.
  • 2.Turn on the router and also check that the power switch on the back of the router is also having on position.myrouter.local
  • 3.Take one Ethernet cable. Connect your modem and router. From the internet port on the router, connect the cable to the modem.myrouter.local
  • 4.Wait till the LED turns solid green. Connect a device to your network either wirelessly or through a wire.myrouter.local
  • 5.The wireless network name will be given in the Quick start guide. Check it out and connect to your network.myrouter.local
  • 6.To begin the setup, launch a web browser and type in the address bar. This is the default IP address to set up a Linksys router. You can also use myrouter.local instead of this IP address.myrouter.local
  • 7.The setup wizard starts the setup process automatically. You have to accept the terms and conditions by enabling the checkbox. Click on next button to proceed further.myrouter.local
  • 8.Enter the name and password for your 2.4 GHz as well as 5 GHz network.
  • 9.Create an admin password and click next.myrouter.local
  • 10.Click on save button and print the on-screen wireless settings.myrouter.local
  • 11.Click on Finish button at the end to complete the setup process.
